London: Asharq Al-Awsat has announced the appointment of Saudi journalist Badr Alqahtani the Gulf affairs Senior Editor, responsible for managing and developing the news coverage of the gulf region and Yemen across various platforms at the newspaper’s headquarters in London.
Badr Al-Qahtani previously worked on the establishment and management of Asharq Al-Awsat’s podcast news service titled ‘Ijaz’, meaning brief in Arabic, as part of SRMG’s new strategy to offer digital media services.
In 2015, Alqahtani founded and managed ‘Alekhbariya Net’ with SBA, and the new digital media outlet was met with positive feedback within the Saudi journalism scene as a high-quality professional project in cooperation with an official media channel.
