‘Balad Beast’ Returns to Historic Jeddah with Hip-Hop and Electro Music Stars

The festival will run for two days, featuring over 60 artists and musicians across four stages

MDLBEAST, the leading Saudi music entertainment company, announces the return of the Balad Beast festival to Jeddah’s historic area, AlBalad on January 18-19, 2024.

In its second edition, the festival boasts a lineup of 60+ artists performing across four stages amidst AlBalad’s stunning architecture. Star acts like Ty Dolla $IGN, Wu-Tang Clan, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Russ, and DJ Snake headline the event.

The lineup includes star singer Ty Dolla $IGN, prominent hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan, Major Lazer Soundsystem, Russ, and DJ Snake.

AlBalad will be lit up with vibrant colors and patterns, all projected onto its iconic buildings offering a visual journey through the past, present, and future.

Set in the UNESCO Heritage Site, the festival blends ancient heritage with modern art, showcasing a mix of history and contemporary creativity through light shows and visual arts.

Ahmed Alammary, DJ Baloo and MDLBEAST’s Chief Creative Officer, expressed excitement about returning to AlBalad: “We are thrilled to announce Balad Beast is back! This UNESCO heritage site is nothing short of enchanting. For us; Balad is an endless source of inspiration and pure joy.”
To ensure the safety of historic sites, MDLBEAST conducted sound tests and strategically placed stages to protect buildings from sound impact.
‘Balad Beast’ joins MDLBEAST’s lineup of unique venue events, aligning with the company’s promise of delivering unforgettable experiences in iconic locations. These include ‘Kokub’ in AlUla, ‘ERGA’ held in an abandoned building in Riyadh, ‘Tahlia’ at the desalination factory in Jeddah, ‘Balad Social’ on a historic rooftop, and ‘FOWG’ atop KAFD in Riyadh.
